The tone is the same as that of a piano: International C tune.

How to Tune?

You can use a portable tuner, tuned piano, cellphone or tuning hammer.

There are many free apps available for both Android and iOS devices. Just search for “Tuner.”

Tuning steps:

1. Pluck the middle tine of the kalimba.
2. Use the tuning hammer to tune the tine, until the note in the tuner matches the default note and the pointer points to the center position.

The kalimba is extremely easy to learn and to play. You simply press the keys or tines with your thumbs.
